UNDERSTAND THE GOD'S RIGHT MANAGEMENT AND OUR ROLE.
Today we begin our journey to explore the profound concept of management, a concept deeply rooted in faith and central to our Christian walk. Management is not just a financial term; it is a spiritual principle that guides how we see and deal with everything God has entrusted to us. As we delve into this topic, let's open our hearts to God's Word and discover the blessings that come from adjusting our lives to His possessions.
May God bless you as you read in the name of Jesus... Biblical basis for management:
Genesis 1:
26-28; Psalm 24:
1 In the early chapters of the Bible, we find the basic principles of management. In Genesis 1:
Verses 26-28, we read how God created mankind in His image and gave us dominion over the earth. However, this dominance does not mean ownership as the world understands. It means responsibility and care. It is an invitation to cooperate with God in the stewardship of his creation for his glory. Psalm 24:
1 reinforces this fact:
"The earth belongs to God, as does everything in it, the world and all those who live in it." This verse lays the foundation for the understanding that every possession, every talent, every breath we take in ultimately belongs to God. We are simple stewards of his gifts.
CLEARING OWNERSHIP:
Everything belongs to God Think of your most precious possession, whatever it is. Now remember that God is the ultimate owner of this property. It's a lesson in humility shifting our perspective from ownership to management. When we grasp this truth, it becomes easier for us to let go of our grasp of material possessions and realize that our role is to use what God has given us for His purposes.
OUTSIDE FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP:
Managing our time, talents and resources is not limited to our bank accounts; it extends to every aspect of our lives. Our time, talents, and resources are all gifts from God, entrusted to us for a specific purpose. Our time is a precious resource that we can invest in building relationships, serving others, and seeking God's presence. Our talents, whether skills, creativity, or intellect, must be used to develop the Kingdom of God. Even our resources, such as homes, possessions, and influence, are tools for bringing glory to God.
PROS AND CONS OF SUPPORTING THE WIDE OF THE GOVERNMENT
ADVANTAGES
Now consider the pros and cons of supporting the gospel with our own finances. As we support the gospel work, we actively participate in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:
19-20). We have the privilege of partnering with the Lord to reach the lost, transform lives, and disciple all nations. Our gift becomes an investment in eternity, accumulating treasures in heaven (Matt 6:20).
DISADVANTAGES
On the other hand, when we neglect our responsibility to support the spread of the gospel, we lose sight of the joy of participating in the Lord's redemptive work. We run the risk of becoming too attached to worldly possessions, which hinders our spiritual growth. Furthermore, we deprive ourselves of the blessings that come from obedience and sacrifice (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).
Finally, if you know that you are not yet a good steward of the resources God has blessed you with, and it hurts you to have a deeper understanding of the role of management, even financially , time, talent or resources, I invite you to come forward. Let's pray together, seeking God's guidance in this area of our lives.
CLOSING PRAYER: Heavenly Father, as we stand before You today, we acknowledge that all we have is Yours. You are the owner of our lives, our possessions, and our talents. Help us embrace the role of stewards with open hearts. May we joyfully and faithfully use what You've given us to advance Your Kingdom and bring You glory in Jesus' name.
Lord, forgive us for the times we've held back, for the times we've failed to support the spread of the gospel with our finances. We surrender our financial resources to You, asking that You guide us in using them wisely for Your purposes in Jesus' name.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of stewardship. May our lives be a reflection of Your ownership and our willingness to invest in Your Kingdom. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
