A gate is a door like opening outside a building. But the actual definition of a gate is much more than the layman's definition given above... Scientifically, all computer languages are based on codes referred to as gates, in the olden days every city has a gate, and the first obstacle every enemy must overcome is the gate of the city they want to attack.
