TOPIC: OPEN GATES


TEXT: Isaiah  60:11 Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

A gate is a door like opening outside a building. But the actual definition of a gate is much more than the layman's definition given above...

Scientifically, all computer languages are based on codes referred to as gates, in the olden days every city has a gate, and the first obstacle every enemy must overcome is the gate of the city they want to attack.

Even if you are stronger than your enemy they will never open their gates for you it's either you brake it which is not easy and dangerous because if you come close to the gate they will shoot you or you lay siege against them to give up...

There is also a spiritual gate to each city, church, ministry, family, and individual. And for the sake of this message, we will be talking about the individual gates to narrow down the topic.

If you are fellowshipping in the church with a closed gate your spiritual life will suffer a casualty. If you as an individual are operating under a closed gate life will be full of sorrows and disappointment...

FACTORS THAT CLOSE PEOPLE'S GATES

1. DISOBEDIENCE: 1 Samuel  15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.  15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. Disobedience turns a Christian to a witch and how do you expect God to bless a witch/wizad?

2. CARNALITY: Romans  12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
God command and demand holiness within and without, anything contrary is an aberration. There is no such thing as God is looking at the heart and not the body, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and if you defile the temple of God you won't go free unless you repent immediately...

3. ROBBING GOD: how can man robb God? In tithes and offering. "Malachi  3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." many Christians don't give tithes and offering but they want God to rebuke their devourer well it doesn't work that way.

1 Corinthians  16:2  Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. here Apostle Paul talk about giving for the sake of the gospel so that in case of emergency they will be no lack.

Recently I thought maybe we are asking too much or too often that's why our members are not willing to give because I am not a pastor of poor people and I reject poverty for everyone here in Jesus name...

While I was meditating on this, God opened my understanding and asked me look at the program going on on the free-to-air satellite I was watching.

Lo and behold, this Mega church has their account numbers flowing 24/7 asking for tithes and offering and free will donations, in fact I checked all the church channels the same thing.
God said son your people's gates are closed because they are robbing me.

I PRAY GOD WILL GIVE US THE GRACE TO REPENT IN JESUS NAME.

Here we don't even post our details everyday and the reason why we use personal account is because we can't afford the requirements for the cooperate account. We post our accounts because of the new comers if you have been in this group for at least a month and you don't have our account details then I think you need to get it now. You mustn't wait until after a program anytime you can send your token.

It must not be after our Monday, Wednesday or Friday programs...

CONDITIONS FOR OPEN GATES

1. TOTAL REPENTANCE: Repentance is a non negotiable whenever you notice that you are wrong. That's what made David a man after God's heart, he is quick to repent whenever he is convinced of anything wrong.

2. OBEDIENCE: without obedience even your faith will become a mare religious activity, obedience is a force that can open any gate no matter who closed it. Joshua didn't only open the gate of Jericho but destroy the walls as well after obedience to God's instructions...

3. PRAISE, PRAYER AND FASTING: for your gate to be opened after your obedience you must be a man/woman of praise, prayer and fasting. "Matthew  17:21  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting." there is kind that must be confronted with prayer and fasting.

Praising God will open the gate of your life for abundance of blessings.

I pray that as you follow these fews rules and regulations you your gates will open in Jesus name...
