HAVE FAITH IN YOUR VISION
And this God has done and continues to do. He abandoned the Aaronic line and chose his apostles from any tribe. He bypassed the established order of the clergy and the public schools of the most known doctors and recruited his evangelists from the ranks of fishermen, tent-makers, and even Roman tax-gatherers. Finally, Jesus proceeded through the Jewish tribes, taking Gentile converts and making them preachers of righteousness to the inhabitants of the entire planet. He still does this to this day, but he would not pass by a man raised at Gamaliel's feet any more than he would a man raised at a recognized school of learning.
He
is always free to use his own gifts in his own way; and when learning is sanctified
by being devoted to the service of God, and the possessor is humble and pious,
and possesses those natural gifts necessary for a public teacher, perhaps we
can safely say that God would prefer such: but he will have others, as
indicated in the prophecy, that we may see the conversion of men is not by
human might, nor power, but by the Spirit of the Lord of hosts. The learned man
cannot do anything without his Spirit; the unlearned must have his talents and
graces, without which neither of their labours would be fruitful; and thus the
Excellency of power is of God, and no flesh can glory in his presence. God
spoke through the prophet Joel saying, “Your old men shall dream dreams, your
young men shall see visions. In those days, I will likewise pour out My Spirit
on My menservants and... Maidservants" (verse 28-29 NKJV).
Regardless of your age or gender, God has a vision for you to fulfill. And sometimes it won’t make sense because you don’t feel qualified. In the musical Man of La Mancha, Don Quixote and his servant are looking at a decaying inn. When Quixote explains his vision of towers and elegant gates, his servant tries hard to see the same picture, but all he can see are ruins. And when he tries to describe them, Quixote tells him, "Stop! I will not let your facts get in the way of my vision! "The majority of great accomplishments begin with a vision in someone's heart. And many times, individuals try to convince the person that it cannot be done—or that he or she is incapable of doing it.
This
frequently validates the visionary's innermost doubts about his or her ability.
That is the critical point! God will help you to fulfill the vision He has
given you if you can ignore your detractors and rise above your worries.
However, keep in mind that your vision may come to you in an instant, but it
may take a lifetime to realize. "The vision is...for an appointed
time...Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly arrive,"
Habakkuk writes (Hab 2:3 NKJV).
A
God-given dream frequently defies logic, so if you have a vision, seek allies
rather than detractors. And become a cheerleader when someone shares his or her
vision with you.
